So Andrew and I made another Tshirt. Once again, he drew it and I put it into Photoshop. We’re quite a team, I think. This one is for a contest at Threadless where you can actually win a car and $2500! It’s still pending approval, but once it’s approved, I need y’all to vote on it for us!
My boyfriend and I came up with this today. He makes shirts and I help. Check him out at SpreadShirt.

NP: Count ‘Em One, Two, Three - The Maine
I just had a really good lunch with Dr. Kinley, who is the chair of the Merchandising department here at UNT. She met with a few students to discuss the Merchandising and E-Merchandising programs. It was nice because we had a Merchandising student, an E-Merch student (me), and one that was a double-major in both.
First of all, The Club — the restaurant that the Hospitality Management students run — is fantastic.
Dr. Kinley was so cool. She understood that, not being a Fashion Merch major, I am not as interested in fashion and trends necessarily and it isn’t my goal in life to be a buyer for Neiman-Marcus. Apparently they’re making over the E-Merch program next year. I’ll be out by then, but it’s nice to hear. We talked about the possibility of a 1 hour credit class that teaches more in-depth graphic design, flash, etc. Also maybe putting together some projects where the E-Merch students work on the technical/business side, and the Fashion Merch majors decide on the content and trends. (That wasn’t a real sentence, sorry.)
She also asked about the classes I was taking now, so I got to bring up the issue with my terrible Marketing class (Retailing). This class is terrible. It’s only offered online. There’s no way to contact the professor. There’s no discussion board to talk to fellow students. There’s no weekly assignments or quizzes. There are 4 tests. They give you all the information for the whole class up front. You have 4 chapters to read, 4 power points, 2 or 3 videos, and some other random articles to read. There’s not structure to the class so it’s hard to just sit down and figure out how to get it all read. The tests so far have been 70+ and 80+ questions and you have 60 minutes to do it in. That’s less than a minute per question. The first time you couldn’t revisit questions so there was no skipping over difficult ones to come back to later. The second time there were math problems involved, which obviously take longer. It’s terrible. So Dr. Kinley is actually meeting with the head of the Marketing department tomorrow and is gonna bring up my issues, because this is a required course of Merchandising students and we’re getting nothing out of the class and it’s gonna bring down my grade. I’ve gotten a high D and a C on the first 2 tests.
So anyway, the lunch was very encouraging and I’m a little more excited about maybe working with her when I look to find an internship in the Spring.
In other news….uhhh I spent spring break in New Mexico. It was beautiful as always, but not cold, which was good for me, but not as good for my ski-loving brothers. There is very little cell phone service where we were at and I had no Internet, which definitely made me feel like I was roughing it haha.
Last weekend I went to Sherman with Andrew. I had so much fun. The Austin college campus is beautiful and the atmosphere they have in the dorms/apartments there is great. Everyone lives close and has a lot of fun from what I can tell. It was great getting to know his friends and hanging out with them.
That’s about all for me…Oh, but I am excited because I will be staying in Denton this summer taking classes. Summer’s are always difficult cuz I’m so far away from everyone so it’ll be nice to be around my friends. But it’ll be weird because I won’t see my family as much and I won’t have the beach…
And I close with the statement: get a Twitter. I update that way more than this. :P

so it’s been awhile since i’ve posted something here. longer since i’ve posted something about me. i honestly don’t remember most of the stuff that’s been going on. nothing too exciting outside of the fact that i’m now dating a super cool guy named andrew. we’re having a blast together.

in other news…i ripped a phone book in half the other night. and i almost fainted yesterday. (i should try remembering to eat…) oh and i got a super sweet new camera and i’ve yet to take it out on a photography adventure cuz me and my photography buddy have been off and on sick over the past couple of weeks. :(

in life group we’re working on memorization. i chose titus 2:12-14. i think it’s beautiful.
12It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, 13while we wait for the blessed hopeāthe glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, 14who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.
so there’s a quick update on me. ta ta.
