Firstly, I have taken away my Livejournal from this site. Unfortunately, it showed everything from my LJ, which doesn't work when I post massive picspams/etc. I think I will manually post LJ entries in here if I want to -- then I can pick and choose which entries go in here, and I can edit them. Also, this lets me update in here without messing up the Livejournal posts and dates. All in all, it should be better. :)
In other news, I've made a new layout! Finally. It's been... practically a year and a half since the "Robin and Marian" layout! Yikes. But thanks to the wonderful SiteSkin, you can choose to view "Peculiar Treasure" in that layout if you wish, or you can stick with this brand-spanking new layout. It features Marianne and Elinor from the BBC's new miniseries, Sense and Sensibility. If you haven't seen this, you really should! It's wonderful -- gorgeous shots and locations and wonderful actors who are much closer to the characters' proper ages. (I'm sorry, a 36-year-old should not really be playing a nineteen-year-old character.) The quote in my site title comes from the novel by Jane Austen.
"Pray, pray, be composed," cried Elinor, "and do not betray what you feel to every body present. Perhaps he has not observed you yet."

I have again been horribly negligent in maintaining this journal. :( Not much to say, other than I am currently at school in England. You'll find lots of art at my livejournal Netherfield_X. I've also been keeping up my Fanlistings. Oh! And something new would be my music videos at YouTube. Hope you enjoy!
Take care.

I can't believe how terribly I've neglected this poor site. :( I'm sorry! Though I'm afraid I'm not quite sure how to update it. I still love the layout (as I'm still very much in love with Robin Hood, heehee. I got the first season on DVD at the beginning of June, and I love it!) This might sound like a broken record, but you'll find most of my updates at my personal LiveJournal and my graphics community. I've also opened another deviantART account, so hopefully that won't get closed down. *crosses fingers*
On a personal note, I'm starting to get rather busy -- it's funny how my summer requires more planning (and stress) than my job. I've worked at a daycare this year (taking a year off from school) and I've loved every minute of it! I can't believe it's over now for the summer.
Tomorrow I'm off for six weeks as a camp counsellor. I just thought I'd say a quick hello and I hope you all have a wonderful summer!

I've finally made something I really like. :) It's about time there was a new layout, too. And I love, love, love Robin and Marian in the new BBC TV series "Robin Hood" (played by Jonas Armstrong and Lucy Griffiths, respectively). Oh, and did I mention that Richard Armitage (of "North & South" fame) plays the evil Sir Guy of Gisbourne in a love-triangle?
There's lots more I need to do, like fixing all the titles on the different pages. I'd also like to try and get WordPress working, but we'll see if that works or not. Hope you like, and hopefully I'll post more very soon.

So, nothing much happening around here. :/ The Cosette & Marius fanlisting is "officially" gone, and I'm closing the Audrey Hepburn fixation, as well. With the demise of getyourfix.org, the inactivity of the site, and teh fact that none of the information was original (i.e. off of the IMDb.com and icons from my LiveJournal), I figured it wsa time.
In other news, I have been accepted at TFL.org for running the fanlisting for the 2006 Jane Eyre miniseries. Yay! So now I need to start working on that. I'm just not sure if I'll bother with PHP Fanbase, since it's officially down anyway, and has been causng more problems than it's worth. But I can't stand the oh-so-popular Enthusaist script -- especially with the password -- so I might just do it all by hand.
I've also been trying to figure out WordPress, since it's about time I have some sort of script here, but that's coming slowly. Ah, well. I also want to change the layout here, but I haven't made anything I like. Besides, who doesn't love Lizzy and Darcy?

Who can believe it's August already? My summer at camp is all over ‹ it's so sad. Fall is almost here, but at least I'm not going back to school. Now that I've graduated high school, I'm taking a year off before college/university. I've a got a part-time job lined up, working for a family friend in her home daycare. That should be fun, but I'll have to figure out what else I'll be doing.
This summer I spent six weeks as a camp counsellor. It was so much fun! First of all, I've never been away from home for more than a week, so that was an expereince. I made new friends, and I also grew closer to God. Nothing life-changing, but I could feel God's presence. Now it's time to trust him with my future and see what He has in store for me -- I'm nervous and excited. I think I'm mostly scared of not doing anything this year, and being stuck in a rut of work and no social life. I need change.
I also want to visit England even more badly now! A friend from camp lives there (and he has the coolest accent). I was looking over a map of the U.K. that he brought; it was really inetresting. And I find it hilarious that there's a place there called Chesterfield. Does anyone else find that funny? Probably just Canadians. (Chesterfield is another word for couch or sofa.)
Anyway, as far as site updates, I uploaded all the missing pages (which I had forgotten about!) so everything should work fine now. That's about it. I might add new content, if I can think of something.

Just a quick note to say that my host has been recently hacked, and everything was deleted. Thankfully, my account is back up and running (thanks, Rachel!), and I still have everything saved on my computer. I just need to upload it all and do a little clean up. So please excuse the mess while I go through the slow process of putting everything back together -- lots of pages will be missing. Thanks!
Oh, and I just came back from my music department's annual "Pops" concert where I sang a duet in the Les Mis medley, and I did pretty well! I got some really nice compliments, it was wonderful. Plus, on top of that my friend said that her parents call me Audrey Hepburn because they think I look like her. They think I look like Audrey Hepburn! Is that not the nicest compliment? :D
I can't wait to see Veronica Mars and Gilmore Girls. Figures I had to be busy on this Tuesday night, haha.

I'm so tired right now -- today was my second day back at the farm working, and as it's spring clean-up time, there was a lot of hard work to do. I even had to clean out the dwarf cow's pen -- yuck! Now my back is sore... Oh, well, at least I'm making money again.
Happy Easter to everyone! Again. :) I had a very nice Easter and saw a lot of my family. The church services were really nice, too. The Good Friday service was in the evening, and throughout the service, the candles and lights were turned out, one by one, so that by the end the sanctuary was dark... It was very effective. Then, on Sunday, the service began with the removal of all the dark cloths and window coverings, and bringing in flowers and balloons, celebrating Jesus' victory over death. The sermon itself was interesting, too, as it was all about the proof backing up the claim that Jesus did indeed rise from the dead. The timing is good, too, with all these books and stories on different theories of what happened -- i.e. Michael Baigent's theory that Pilate just faked the crucifixion to satisfy the Jewish leaders and then smuggled Jesus to Egypt. Or that the disciples stole the body. None of it makes sense, though -- how could the disciples steal a body so heavily guarded, and how could they possibly hide a dead body? And there is no way that Jesus could have survived the crucifixion -- these people did it every day, so there was no doubt he was dead. But also, if Jesus was truly dead, why couldn't the officials produce the body? That would put an end to Christianity right then and there. Plus, if the disciples just pretended that Jesus was alive (while they actually had the corpse), why would they be willing to be tortured and killed for such a lie? Anyway, I thought it was pretty interesting. Definitely gives you something to think about. If you ask me, it seems like it would take more faith to believe some of these other theories than to just believe that Jesus is who he says he is.
Hooray that we do not worship a dead god but the One True Christ who conquered death and lives today!

Just a quick update: I put up a new layout! Featuring none other than Lizzy and Darcy from my new favourite movie, Pride and Prejudice. :) I really like it! It's different than what I normally do -- more artistic. Anyway, hope you like it!
I love this one section of the book, which is actually at the bottom of the graphic, and it was the inpiration for this layout:
"Elizabeth, having rather expected to affront him, was amazed at his gallantry; but there was a mixture of sweetness and archness in her manner which made it difficult for her to affront anybody; and Darcy had never been so bewitched by any woman as he was by her. He really believed, that were it not for the inferiority of her connections, he should be in some danger." (Austen, Pride and Prejudice, ch. 10)
(I love those last two lines!)
I added a couple new buttons too, just 'cause the page needed a little boost. And I also have a new affiliate! Be sure to visit Every-Word.net.
Happy Easter to everyone!

First of all, I'd like to let you know that I've opened up a new fanlisting:

Happy New Year! Wow, it's already 2006. I'll be graduating high school this year -- yay!
I'm afraid I haven't been very good at keeping this current. There's really not much to update, though, and it always seems to be such a chore for some reason. :/ LJ is more fun, I guess. I wonder if I would do more if I had my own domain and a limitless amount of space... It would also help if I could get a good FTP program, and not one that I have to wait for for two minutes to open! Argh.
Anyway... Right now I've been obssessed with the new Pride and Prejudice movie -- I love it! So I've been making lots of P&P graphics and layouts and such (as you can see at my Livejournal). In real life, I'm just finishing my first semester, which means exam time! It's not too bad, though, as I only have two exams, and they're relatively easy.
I'm afraid my website forms haven't been working, but I've been too lazy to fix them. :( Maybe something's wrong with my Bravenet account. For now, you'll have to email everything to me.
Hmmm... I'm frusterated with Deviant Art. They took down almost all of my wallpapers -- the ones in the movie section -- because for some reason, movie wallpapers have to be 100% original work. That makes no sense! Movie wallpapers are gonna have stills from movies. It's obviously not my photo. I almost want to just bring everything back here and organize it how I like, but that would require lots of space, of which I'm running out. *sigh*
I think I'm done. I'll try not to neglect this site too much, and add fun things. Oh! I did start a P&P fanfiction, if you're interested -- you can find it here @ Fanfiction.net. Reviews would be greatly appreciated! :)
